Ali Sadeghi

About علی صادقی

Ali Sadeghi is an Iranian actor born in Tehran in 1980 and known above all for comedy. His career started by chance: in 1990, while still a schoolboy, he was picked by the producer and director Amir Samavati, who had visited his school, for the children's series Aftab-e Alamtab.

Television fame

Sadeghi became a household name in the 2000s through a run of popular television comedies, including Khaneh be Doosh (2004), Mottaham Gorikht (2005), Se dar Chahar (2008) and Bezangah (2008). These series established the quick, physical comic style that audiences still associate with him.

Film work

In cinema he has appeared in Hasht Pa (2004), No Men Allowed (2011) and 50 Kilos of Sour Cherries, among many other comedies. Outside acting, he studied computing to associate-degree level.

Ali Sadeghi on Pardeh

Pardeh currently lists eleven titles featuring him. No Men Allowed, Rambod Javan's comedy about a strict principal who bans men from her girls' school, is a good first choice. The Potboiler (Khaltoor) and The Redtails show his later film comedy, while Vorood o Khorooj Mamnoo, Milk and Honey and Women Are Angels 2 lean towards family humour. For a longer watch, the series The Demon and the Forehead Moon is also available.
